Today has been an experience. Like typical Michigan weather, we got way less snow than anticipated, but it's still freezing out and the wind is crazy. Like everyone else, I was hoping for a snow day but we ended up being one of the only schools around still open. Figures. 

     I've gotten back to the point where I love this blog and can't wait to work on it most days. But time just keeps slipping away, and I don't feel like I've been able to do it justice. I haven't had time to visit all of the places I've wanted, experiment with new products, make all of my bookmarked recipes, or read a book that wasn't assigned for a class. I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm burnt out with everything going on in my life in general. I've hit the wall that I'm sure everyone hits during the winter, but I'm stuck. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this. 

     Anyways, in case anyone else is feeling like me, and/or loves Michael Jackson as much as I do, check out this video of a taxi driver who sounds EXACTY like MJ. 

     You're probably wondering what the heck a "Strapdown" is, right? If you live in boots like I do (thank you, Michigan weather) then you probably have the same experience of having to shove your pants into them every time you wear them, only to look in the mirror and realize your pants are a bunched-up mess. (Its actually for this reason that I try to wear tights and leggings as much as I can.) But fear not, our answer has arrived in the form of Strapdowns!

Smells Like Couture

1. How amazing is this? I used to hate being by myself and I've slowly learned to like it...It's nice to find time to take care of yourself and do the things you love.

2. I've been listening to stereomood all afternoon while working on a project...it's perfect because you just pick your mood and thousands of wonderful songs are at your fingertips.

3. I really want to watch Marie Antoinette and Romeo and Juliet right now!

Pearl Necklace Nails & Miscellaneous Ramblings

1. I painted my nails again last night, it's become somewhat of an addiction, haha. They're a light orange (Kind of hard to see in the pictures! Sorry for the Macbook photos!) Also excuse my work clothes :(

2. I finally got around to seeing Eat, Pray, Love today and I LOVED it! So inspiring, especially for where I am in my life right now. I started researching meditation a few weeks ago and now I'm convinced that I should try it out. I also have the urge to travel like crazy. 

3. I had seen this blogger's pictures all over and I've always saved them, but I finally found the source. The Notebook Doodles is my new favorite blog and I've been practicing copy her handwriting so that I can use it in my own notebook and for making cards.
