Last week I went to Leon and Lulu - an eclectic furniture/accessories/gift store that just so happens to be in an old roller rink. Employees wear roller skates and offer you popcorn while you shop. Leon, one of the dogs the store is named after, can be found wandering around too. I didn't end up buying anything (although I definitely see myself coming back when it comes time to redecorate), it was still fun to check out - a lot of it looked like things you would see on Etsy.
This is kind of weird but the bathrooms had toilets with real fish in them!
That afternoon I went to Ginger's Cafe in Farmington with my mom. We both love to go to tea - it was our first time at Ginger's and although we both agreed it lacked a little in atmosphere, but the cinnamon chip scones were AMAZING. It was totally worth it just for those!

Ever dream of chatting over tea with Karl Lagerfeld, Donatella Versace, Claudia Schiffer, Jean Paul Gaultier, or Naomi Campbell? Being the fashionista that I think I am, I certainly have. German company, Donkey Products, has created these fashion tea bags that come in sets of five for just $11.75. They're the perfect gift for a fashionable friend, or for yourself. Except I'd buy them and never want to use them because they are just too cool.

Tranquilitea

With summer winding down, today was the perfect day to spend the morning outside. I took a trip back to the park in Northville that I always did Relay for Life at in high school, and I found these HUGE sunflowers! They were so pretty! Later, I went to Sweet Afton Tea Room for french vanilla tea and scones. Sweet Afton was voted one of the top 100 tea rooms in the United States, if you're in Plymouth sometime check it out!

Tea Time

Make a cute gift for friends & family by adding personalized tags to their favorite tea!

I first tried Davidson's tea several years ago after buying several tea bags in a fudge shop, and it's been my favorite ever since. The organic dessert tea is the BEST! It's caffeine-free and comes in eight herbal flavors. My favorite by far is Raspberry Creme Caramel, although Vanilla Spice is also really rich. On Davidson's website you can order eight ($2.95), twenty-five ($5.50), or 100 ($25.95) teabags of each flavor, or 100 assorted. If you try the tea and love it (of course you will), buying them online will save you a LOT of money - they are typically about $1 a teabag in the candy shops and high-end markets I've found them in. Try having a few friends over for tea or relax and just enjoy some dessert tea after a long day!
