     I completely forgot about this impromptu photoshoot I had just before Christmas. There's a greenhouse near my house, and they have the frame of a volkswagen covered in plants. It was so windy that day (and incredibly bright out with the snow) but I was able to get a few good pictures. I bought the beret that I'm wearing last year and I plan on keeping it forever, I just love it that much. 

     Tomorrow morning I'm taking the train to Chicago for the long weekend. I plan on eating delicious food, seeing the Blue Man Group again (second time for me, but my boyfriend has never seen them), and doing a little shopping. Nothing too extreme though!

What I Wore: On the Farm

     This morning I took a trip to my cousin Carol's farm in Weberville (I felt like I was in the middle of nowhere...No offense to anyone who lives out there!) and it was so interesting! She raises llamas, sheep, goats, bunnies, and horses. The process of getting yarn or a finished product (like a scarf or hat) is so detailed and really a lot of work - I give her a TON of credit! It really takes a lot of hard work and passion to take care of so many animals. It was really fun and great to see all of my family before I move back to school this week.

Tranquilitea

    With summer winding down, today was the perfect day to spend the morning outside. I took a trip back to the park in Northville that I always did Relay for Life at in high school, and I found these HUGE sunflowers! They were so pretty! Later, I went to Sweet Afton Tea Room for french vanilla tea and scones. Sweet Afton was voted one of the top 100 tea rooms in the United States, if you're in Plymouth sometime check it out!

What I Wore: Denim Shirt!

I love the buttons on the back of this shirt! I also tried a diagonal fishtail braid today, so for my first try it looks pretty good, even though it looks like a french braid in these pictures

What I Wore: Chi-City

     I'm back from my trip to Chicago - it was wayyy too short! - but it's always nice to be home. I had a great time and did a little shopping, so you'll be seeing everything soon in more What I Wore posts. The actual purpose of the trip was for my brother to visit DePaul University, but I was able to get in a few other things during my stay. I had never been to Shedd Aquarium so that was good to finally go, although if you go anytime soon I have to say, do NOT pay extra to see "Fantasea" because it's for small children, unless you want a good laugh. But every one of our family trips has one huge fail, so that was it for this one...

    I love anything with lace and when I saw this skirt a few months back at Forever 21 (of course...my favorite store), I had to have it. It was great in the winter and when I saw it hanging in my closet, I knew it'd be perfect for summer too. These sandals have quickly become one of my favorites this summer, but I was a little hesitant to buy them at first. I've never been a fan of the gladiator trend, but these caught my eye.

     Every so often I feel the urge to go through all of my clothes and mix and match pieces. I've had this red skirt for several years but I was always hesitant about wearing it - I'm not quite sure why, but I always felt I never had the top for the look I was going for. I forced myself to get over it, and since it was so gorgeous today I figured, why not spend some time outside?

     In other news, I've decided to invest a little more time into tinsel* - I'll be the first to admit that I've had a lot of other things on my mind lately. But things are getting back to normal and I've got quite a few things coming up in the next couple of weeks to blog about. I'll be taking a trip to Chicago and then I'll be off to New York to visit my friend, Jordan, who is interning there for the summer! I absolutely cannot wait and I'll be sure to post about everything. 

I Love Paris

     This morning my friend Mike & I got together for breakfast and took a trip to the mall...We did end up getting distracted by a massage "store" and of course the pet store! Yet again, I apologize for the terrible pictures, I left my camera at home and had to use my phone. In regards to my outfit, I decided to try and dress up my t-shirt and dress down my skirt by wearing them together. Perfect for a day at the mall.

What I Wore: Jury Duty Edition!

Today was the dreaded day: JURY DUTY. For as much as I complained about having to go so early in the morning, it wasn't that bad. I just ended up sitting in a giant room, reading my book and waiting to get called. I wasn't even needed so I was able to leave early and spent the rest of my afternoon on the lake.

Here's what I wore for jury duty (they have quite a few restrictions on what you can wear):

On another note, I'm starting to take biotin supplements today so I'll let you all know if it helps my hair/ nail/eyelashes at all!
